Brief overview of the literary club in Riyadh

The story of the club began when Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud held a meeting in Riyadh in the month of Jumada I in 1395 AH (1975) with a number of writers and intellectuals from the regions of the Kingdom, to discuss an institutional formula to activate and nurture culture, and the discussion was about ways to revive the market Okaz, after circulating this idea, the writer Aziz Zia proposed the idea of establishing literary clubs in large Saudi cities.
